Apple Tart KitchenAid Sheet Cutter Recipe Noodle Blade

You can create long, thin sheets of anything from apples to cucumbers. The new noodle blade attachment will allow you to make fettuccini-like flat noodles out of your food. Apple Noodle Spiral Tart


 

Apple Tart KitchenAid Sheet Cutter Recipe Noodle Blade  

 

Makes: 6 Servings

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes


Ingredients:

2 Granny Smith Apples
1 Package Puff Pastry
2 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tsp Cinnamon
3 Tbsp Agave Nectar

Directions:

 

Step 1
Preheat oven to 450F. Remove puff pastry from freezer and thaw according to manufacturer's directions.

Step 2
Attach Sheet Cutter attachment to your KitchenAid Mixer and load an apple using the manufacturer's instructions. Slice apple into long noodles using the Noodle Blade. Place apple noodles into a bowl of water to prevent browning.

Step 3
Unfold the puff pastry onto a parchment paper lined baking tray. With a small bowl of water at your side, wet your fingers and run across the edges of the pastry. Make a crust by folding a quarter inch of the edge of the pastry on top of itself, pressing down to seal it. It's very important that it seals - use more water if the pastry is not sealing together.

Step 4
Drizzle the inside of the puff pastry with agave nectar.

Step 5
Coil an apple noodle strand and place it on top of the puff pastry. Repeat until the pastry is covered in apple coils.

Step 6
Combine sugar and cinnamon sugar in a small bowl. Generously sprinkle over the apples. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffy.

Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes, slice and enjoy!
